We had a very busy Saturday. We went to the family holiday party that Kevin's work puts on every year. They have sleigh rides and lots of crafts and activities for kids, and of course Santa Claus is there. Sadie is too little for the crafts and it was too cold for the sleigh ride, but we loved experiencing her first visit with Santa. We were not sure how well the visit would go over as she is becoming more leery of strangers. But she LOVED him. She was so comfortable, that she even gave his beard a few good tugs. It's possible she might have thought it was Grandpa Schurr (he has a white beard too). Santa showed her his key to the North Pole and Sadie thought that was really neat! After the party we came home for Sadie to take a nap. When she woke up we bundled her up and took off to our favorite tree farm to cut down our tree. It was a cold day 20 degrees with a wind chill of -14. But with the forecast for colder weather to come we figured we better brave the elements and get the tree. We had a little sled that we put Sadie in and headed off in the snow to find our tree. The poor thing could barely move, she was bundled up so good, but she looked adorable! Luckily we found a tree close to where we parked so we could get Sadie out of the wind as quickly as possible. What a great day!!!

Excellent photos with Santa! I love the way her arms stick out in her snowsuit! LOL! I remember feeling that way in my snowsuit as a kid.
Cute photos with Santa, he had a real beard no less!!
I remember well having to "suit" everyone up in the winter. Then they would do their guila monster walks, arms out straight and stiff legs! hahaha
So sweet! Love that she can't quite put her arms down.
That first visit with Santa is always so special! I am so happy that she enjoyed it and wasn't crying. Her pictures are adorable!
With a snow suit like Sadie's, was it really too cold for a sleigh ride? Cute photos, especially the one with Sadie's arms straight out. Poor thing couldn't move :)
I can't believe that Sadie was happy with Santa Claus. Usually the first three years is a screaming terrified child with Santa. She is absoutely adorable
